Hello my name is Bailey and I am 11 years old. I love to run, jump and throw, it's my hobby. Last week I represented Solway Primary School, my school in athletics, it was an awesome day. I  was pretty happy with my results. I started from my first event which was vortex. I threw as far as I could but it wasn't was quite far enough to get into regionals. I came 4th and its the top 3 that get in. My next event was high jump, I love high jump I was happy with my results because I got 1st, I couldn't believe it. Next it was long jump my friend Eternal got 1st and I got 4th again. Now I was getting nervous because it was sprints, for the short sprints I got 3rd but it was only the top 2 that got in, I was disappointed. Next it was the long sprint and I got first in my heat but 2nd in the main race. After all that I was very tired but I still had to do the 1000 metres. I didn't really want to do it but I'm glad I did because I got 3rd and it was the top 5 that got in. I had a great time.

Hi my name is Charlize I am a year five girl and I am nine years old.Last week on Monday the year 5's went on camp to Mount Holdsworth to stay over night.When we got to the camp grounds me and my two friends Caitlyn and Katie helped put up the tent so did my dad, Caitlyn's dad and my mum. After that was all up we put the bedding in then all of the other stuff in. Then we had tea. We had sausages then had to go to a big night walk when we got back we had to do our teeth then we went to bed. In the morning we had sausages again, then brushed our teeth. We went for another big walk to the swing bridge and I went over twice. After we got back to the camp ground we packed up because we had to go.

Welcome Back Torino students
It is spring time in New Zealand and the days are getting longer and the days are also getting warmer. The trees are beginning to get their leaves and the grass is growing. I will get some of the students to write on the blog next week.
I am the teacher of the class, Steve Hornby.  Our class is called Kauri, named after one of New Zealand's native trees. We have 26 students in our class and they are 9-11 years old. I'm the English teacher of a class of a secondary school in Turin called 2F. Turin is in the north west of Italy and it's a big, industrial town. My students are 18 and they study French and English at school. they also study maths, italian, history, geography, music, tecnology and P.E.

Last week the school and I had left off to the swimming sports in my races i came 2nd 3rd and 2nd again.
On saturday I played softball we won 212-126. After that my friend came round to my house then he ended up staying the night we watch the rugby blues vs hurricanes.

Hello my name is Tora. Yesterday some of Solway went to Riversdale. Riversdale has lifeguards because there is rips there. It was so fun. We went with half of Kahikatea. The lifeguards taught us so much. We went in the water. Kauri and Kahikatea boggie boarded and swam in the water it was so much fun. I can't wait untill next time I go on a trip like that. We went home by bus like how we got there and I sat next to Lilly.
