Merry Christmas to you all too!

We had a very busy end to the term too. It was a shorter term because of the rugby world cup, but we still had the same amount of work to do. We won't be back until 30th January (with a new class). If you want to start writing when you get back I can reply until we start back
The predicted temperature for Christmas day is 23c. We have had an incredible spring and there is long grass everywhere. Around my home there is hay being cut and baled. I have had my forst tomatoes from the glass house.
Good luck to the teachers for the volleyball match!

Merry Christmas

Sorry, we haven't had time to write this week, we've been very busy at school, we had written and oral tests. Tomorrow is our last day at school and the students are playing a vollyball match against the teachers. It's very cold here, but it's not snowing at the moment.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
We're going to write next year, we'll be back on 9th January.
Bye

Christmas-Cassie

Hi I'm Cassie and this is what I do for Christmas.... Well for starters i spend the morning I am with my mum (Kirsten) and we are going to open the presents that Santa has left for us and we check to see if the reindeer have eaten there food we leave out for them and we give Rudolph the biggest and the fattest treat and he eats it all up and we also give him his own water bowl with water in it.When we have opened our presents we have to put them in our mums room or in our room then we get our own Christmas brunch (and a brunch is a breakfast that you have at lunch time) and we have hash browns ,eggs, bacon, toast, sausages and juice as our drink. After that we have our Christmas party at dads (Dean) and he has a pool so we can swim in the nice cool water and it is all ways so nice and cold and very relaxing but first we open our presents from nanny and our other family who live in Carterton (this a town near us) and we get lots of cool things from them (i know what nanny is getting me) we all ways have so much fun at Christmas and my really funny cousin and me play tag under water and hide and go seek and with my seal sticks we can drop them and we go and find them under the water. If we are lucky we go to the grave yard and put flowers by him (he died before my sister was born). We put fake flowers by him because if they were real they would die really fast.I really miss him but at Christmas we barely even remember him because we are having to much fun. When we are giving out the presents dad puts on a Santa hat and says some ones name and he says who it is from as well of cause he does. Then we all hop in the pool for a good old swim to cool down from opening so many presents. We have 2 museums in our town. What sort of Christmas food do you have on Christmas day? we eat Christmas cake it is so good with lots of fruit like raisins ,sultanas and lots more it is really yummy. We have so much fun at Christmas time it is the best time to spend with your family.Do have fun with your family on Christmas? How do you dress up your trees?Do you have a ball that has your name on them and it has the date you got it on it?How many people come around on Christmas at your house?Do you have little chocolate truffles that you guys eat on Christmas? If you do eat them do they have marshmallow in the middle? (this message is from every one in Kauri) Hope you have a good Christmas.Do you sing Christmas songs? Have fun over your 2 weeks holiday. This is our last week at school then we get to have a long holiday

Christmas

Hi I'm Katia and I'm a year 6 and last night I graduated from Solway. Anyway in New Zealand
we celebrate Christmas by opening presents that we get. I go to my Nana's for lunch and dinner on Christmas day. We have museums. but I never remember the names
our Christmas holidays are about 6 weeks long.

Note: Our main museum is called Aratoi and it is the museum of art and history. We also have a shear museum, about shearing sheep. We also have a fire engine museum - Jubilee Fire Museum.(this is an article about how they moved it), a car museum and 2 early settler museums.

Hello,
thank for the pictures. They are very nice. They're beatiful places. We would like to go on school camps, but we never go. This year we will go on a school trip, but we don't know where.
Last year we visited some museums in Turin and they were very interesting.
Are there any museums in your town?
S
It's going to be Christmas soon and we'll stay at home for two weeks. It's a very nice festivity in our country. Families stay together and eat a lot of good things. We make the Christmas Tree and decorate our houses in different ways. We also make a Crib in our houses. How do you celebrate Christmas? What do you do? What do you eat?
We eat a lot of things especially a typical cake called "panettone", it's very good.
Hope hearing from you soon
