Ciao,
we celebrate quite in the same way, the only difference is the cake we eat on Sunday, after the lunch with the family. We eat chocolate eggs and a cake which has the shape of a dove, made of flour, eggs, almonds and sultana. Nowadays some cakes have chocolate a cream inside. Delicious!!!
It's a period of Joy because we celebrate Christ's resurrection after death. There are a lot of celebrations at church beginning on Friday afternoon.
Have a happy Easter, we'll be back soon

Easter
Ciao
You may already be on holiday.
We do celebrate Easter. Friday is called Good Friday. We have hot cross buns (a spicy bun with a cross on the top) these represent the death of Jesus on the cross. On Sunday we have chocolate Easter eggs. These represent the resurrection and the eggs mean new life. How do you celebrate Easter. Have a great Easter and enjoy your holiday.

We didn't go on a school trip this year, so we enjoyed looking at you.Tomorrow is our last day before Easter holiday and then we'll have only about a month of school. It'll finish on 10th June and then my students will have to pass an exam. here the weather is getting warmer and warmer every day, it's spring and the sun is shining. Do you celebrate Easter? What are you going to do on your holiday? Hope hearing from you soon. Enjoy your holiday! Laura Marchese

Holidays
Hi Guys
The year 6 students had an awesome camp last week, the weather was great and we had lots of fun. We are on holiday until the 2nd of May. When do you have holidays? How long do you have? We made a short video about some of the things that we enjoyed at camp. We have had a cold, wet day today, around 10 c and very windy. I think it was coming straight from the south pole. It has been mild up till now so this was a shock. (unfortunately the winter is just beginning)
The Slit is a gap between the rocks where you have to walk through, (like a narrow cave) it is dark and the water is up to your knees.
Secret buddies are when we all draw out a name and we have to do nice things for them, it's a secret until the end of the day.
We also used inches and feet in New Zealand. We changed to the metric system in 1967. We changed money to dollars and cents (it used to be pounds, shillings and pence) and all the measurements, including inches, feet, yards and miles to millimetres, centimetre, metres and kilometres
Bye for now

Hi Kauri's class!
At the end of this year we are having a very difficult exam and next year we will change school.
Have you ever had an exam ? We haven't got "Pizza Hut" but there are a lot of Pizzerias in our city. Have you got any Pubs ? Do you use any social network like Facebook, Netlog, Twitter etc...?
Last week we went to visit our city with an english guide. We started from "PORTA NUOVA Station" and the "Sambuy Gardens" in front of it. Then we walked along "Via Roma" and looking for english words in the windows shops. We went to see the underground car parks and the guide described the signs we saw there. We visited two famous squares : Castello square and San Carlo square. We visited the Subalpine Gallery and the Carignano Palace and we learnt a lot of new words. We took some photos and we enjoyed a lot. Then we took the bus and we came back to school.
We learnt some strange things for example that there are three cannon balls on the building in San Carlo square and there is also one near a church.
We learnt english measurement : INCH and FOOT and there are some Roman walls underground.
